Beginnings

Tomorrow I begin an e-course called "Unravelling:  Ways of Seeing Myself" that was recommended to me by my friend.  She took the course this spring and loved it.  I know it will be both exciting and revealing.  A running theme in my life this last year and half has been untangling some important facets of my life and my family history.  It's been good, but not always easy.  I'm looking forward, in the words of Susannah, "to LOOK. To observe. To investigate. And to find a new way to see ourselves and our own personal world."

Hey I'm so glad to see another Oklahoman in the group. It makes me giddy! Especially when there are so many people from all over the world participating. Looking forward to "unravelling" together.

So glad you are doing this. Sara really enjoyed it, and I think it was a great inspiration to her.

Jayne and Anglican...I'm excited and a little nervous. I took a few photos last night and today. I can tell the creative process is already taking root.

Hey Everyday Graces!! I totally agree. Go Okies!! When I saw your location on the Susannah's Flickr thread (I think that's what you call it) I smiled, too!

You are going to LOVE this class. I am SOOOO proud of you. Leave lots of comments on other people's work. A real community starts to build when you do. If you need a buddy to go shoot with....I would love to revisit many of the assignments. I hope you feel like sharing some of your stuff here. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Sara,

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm loving the first week so much. The photograph stuff is a bit intimidating, but good for me. I'm learning to take courage even when I'll feeling very afraid. Yesterday's assignment was to write a Fairy Tale about our life or an aspect starting with "Once upon a time". So far my perfectionist voice is not yelling for attention and my creative story telling ones are finding their voices. :)
