I find that I, too, find comfort in those big lovey eyed creatures in stores, and frequently bring them home with me as a means of coping. I hope you and your family are able to find peace in this season of your father's life. My parents are in their late 60's, early 70's - and every day that passes, I thank God that I'm lucky to still have them. I honestly think I would be lost without my parents, and I'm 33 year old married woman! But honestly, parents are the first loves of your life - and that kind of bond is hard to accept letting go of, even if only in this life until the next.
